TIMSS 2024 - Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study
The purpose of the TIMSS survey is to assess student achievement in mathematics and science. TIMSS survey is organized and managed by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievements (IEA). The research in Georgia is conducted by the National Center for Educational Research (NCER).
The IEA is an independent international organization that brings together research institutes and educational organizations from various countries.
In 2024, a longitudinal study of the TIMSS 2023 cycle was conducted. The results of this study will allow the educational system to evaluate student achievement progress and investigate the environmental factors that contribute to improving performance in mathematics and science subjects.
The International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement will perform data analysis, and the research results will be announced in 2025.
